The Leeds Peer2Peer program offers 1:1 mentoring to first year undergraduate students. Launched in fall 2009, this program matches first year students to a trained sophomore, junior or senior Leeds mentor. Our P2P mentors are given extensive training regarding campus resources, intervention techniques, study skills and intercultural competencies. P2P mentees benefit from having the wisdom and guidance of an older Leeds student who can help them with the sometimes confusing path through a freshman year.

The Leeds Professional Mentorship Program (PMP) matches over 650 students with over 650 mentors! The PMP is open to junior and senior level undergraduate students and professionals with at least five years of work experience. We pair the ambitions and personalities of the student with the strengths and experiences of the mentor, to ensure learning and development for both parties.

The Adopt a Business Buff initiative matches job-seeking students with alumni and community members to assist with networking and job placement. Volunteers support juniors and seniors at Leeds based on their related industries or positions of interests, serving as job search catalysts for these students, leveraging their own professional and personal networks to make connections and helping students find and secure positions during COVID-19.

The Young Alumni Mentors Program or YAMs is a new mentoring program which will extend mentoring to Sophomores and match them with recent graduates. This program is modeled off the PMP (Professional Mentorship Program) and P2P (Peer2Peer Mentorship) and will enrich multiple levels of the Leeds community. The YAMs program will serve as a launching point for Sophomores to shape their career path, establish a larger network, and develop critical professional and job search skills. As a sophomore mentee this program will afford you the opportunity to connect to the greater Leeds network, learn to leverage career development resources, and create a well rounded experience at Leeds.
